Whats going on over at the stadium?

The Stdium Club in Quincy! Get there on Wednesday 9:30p!

Wednesday finally arrives which meant I was going to have another great time hanging with the Stadium Club crowd in Quincy and trying my hand at stand up one more time.

The crowd was a good one!  At show time there wasn’t anyone there, but folks quickly filed in and we wound up with a full room and a big group of awesome comics…  Oh and then there was me!

Rick Sinnott is probably the most approachable guy around and an excellent host.  He’s a big softy who loves to laugh though, so sometimes he might let comics run a bit long.  For me, I could care less, most of the folks who show up here are great comics and complete fun to watch…

For performers tonight we had the good crew including:

  1. Debi Braconi
  2. Steve the Fireman
  3. Spike Tobin
  4. Ryan Clausen
  5. Bob Connolly
  6. Myself
  7. Chris Sullivan
  8. Mike Abramson
  9. Jason Marcus
  10. Jason Chamberlain
  11. Erik Levi

I think I got em all.

For myself, the night went well, I’ve been working on becoming more involved with the audience and I’m moving forward with that a bit.  Got more laughs then Rosebud of course, but I started to laugh myself during my first joke, the Bert and Ernie bit.  I just tried to turn it into a dramatic sobbing for the joke.  Went all right, all right.  I went a little overboard trying to do a call back to couple of the other comics commenting about some girls texting during the show.  So during my everything is bigger in TX joke I tried to make it out like the guy was texting his kid while falling and well, I dunno, just kinda made it morbidly too much.  Well, live and learn.

Spike Tobin was on fire tonight.  He was into the audience being chatty and using some really hot material most of which I hadn’t heard before so it must be some of his older good shit.  Course, Bob kept giving him joke requests to which Spike happily obliged of course! Spike is always great, but tonight was even better then normal.

A couple of really experienced comics went up did one joke and said, nope, I’m not doing this tonight, LOL.  It was funny imo but I felt bad for the guys, just hope they didn’t really feel down, just felt like fuck it maybe.  What was odd is that the 2nd guy who did this tonight was not around for the first guy who did it.  Really odd.

I am really liking Chris Sullivan’s new facebook bit.  Please folks, just don’t be postin no pics of how cute your animals are, you might be sorry one day ;)

Mike Abramson, this dude is hilarious.  He has minor CP and really does some hilarious things with it.  He’s great and was on fire.  Had a few bombs but all in all, how can ya not love Mike?!?!

Jason Marcus showed up and was funny as hell but thought he wasn’t.  I thought that was kinda odd.  Dude is hilarious.

The rest of the crew all did outstanding as well!  Sorry if I didn’t mention ya, but really was a great night of comedy.  I’m telling ya, you really need to give this place a shot.  Invite your friends and just throw down with the crowd, the comics are the friendliest you will find anywhere, down to earth and not afraid to have a good time!  So I’ll see ya there next Wednesday right?

All in all a great night!

Tommy Sunshine works full time making about $420.00 annually changing oil and filters and doing some crygenic magic for the man who tries to keep him down. He trys to be a comic, but he's very new and he sucks, really bad. Oh, and he hates marriage, he doesn't care if its gay marriage or straight marriage, its fucking stupid. I would love to get a comment!
