Stand up-date 37 @ Raffertys
So my 37th time standing up was on 10/13/2011 and I brought Tracy Sunshine with me so she could enjoy Rafferty’s. There is such a great atmosphere, awesome bar, amazing food, and great prices out here. Just sayin folks, I’m not ever gunna lie here, just won’t say anything about a place if it sucks but I think I mentioned before that comics typically choose some nice establishments to do their thing in. I think the part that separates Raffertys, though, is the prices and the people, they’re both amazing, its worth the drive if you wanna practice some comedy and enjoy the food and people.
So obviously the night before had been a little bit rocky for me, so I just tried to put it behind me and look forward to a good set. Tracy had wanted to spend some time with me since I’ve been out pretty much every night ‘cept Friday and Saturday practicing or learning comedy so it was on like motha fuckin donky kong bitches!
Tonights line up included the following comics being hosted by none other then the fantabulously fantabulous Chrissy Kelleher! YAY!!!

Quite a list and some amazing comedians, how ’bout that shit huh? Marshfield ain’t just for, uh, stuff anymore, ‘ya know? What is Marshfield for anyways?
Yeah, so Nick Lettic came up and dressed up in his big dick outfit with the help of Chrissy. I’ll just leave the visuals and comments alone with that particular train of thought. Believe me, I did write a few words, I just felt I couldn’t allow them to be published without fear of retribution from more than one woman LOL! Nick unfortunately left his notebook at home in his rush to make the show, but the zingers he had were good. Maybe he’ll be back next time to brush up right before Halloween!
I didn’t think that Tracy would appreciate Alan Fitzgeralds comedy but amazingly enough she loved him! I was like, oh you might not like his humor. But Alan really does know how to broach some of the most flammable topics in comedy and in such a manner, he brings folks typically averse to the subjects to laughing with him. Nice work Alan, once again!

@KylePloof, how can I not say anything about Kyle? The man, the myth, the crazy fuckin kid from Weymouth! Tonight, Kyle elaborated upon a story him and Jason touched on in his Podcast with Jason Marcus. I don’t wanna even give it away which story it was, if ya wanna know, just go listen to the podcast, its an amazingly poignant on. Seriously, I almost squirted one during the first half of the interview! But Kyle did a few quick stories, quick zingers, and memories of the Rafferty’s ‘mic and kept to a 5 min spot. An outstanding display to this particular n00b on how to get shit done!
Rich followed up Kyle, closing the show with the story about Kyle’s very first time doing an open ‘mic which he was hosting in Boston somewhere, damn, I forgot where, damn, damn… I think maybe at the comedy studio. Rich did not know it was Kyle’s first time up and wanted to fuck with him by making him do his 1st time up in the back while all the comedians went to the stage and watched him from the stage… Odd, maybe I just stmoked too much weed and got it all mixed up. Something like that.
As for Tommy Sunshine!? I think everyone there tonight must have read my last post where I was crying like a bitch, cuz when Chrissy called me up I got claps and even some woohoo Tommy Sunshine’s! Thanks, felt good! And I did ok, with my material, kept the mouth not so loud, and was able to talk to the audience while I was looking up a joke I’d re-written on the way up there tonight. I still fucked the joke up, but was nice being able to keep them engaged enough to keep the act moving along. A good night for Tommy Sunshine!
