Ep 29: Staleface!
John Staley
The first time I saw John Staley was at Grandma’s Basement and my first impression centered around pot. He has a very unique delivery, slow, metered, unwavering and blank staring. Imagine, a young white Tommy Chong with more substance. His material is typically one line, quippy, original and requires you put your thinking cap on at times in order to fully appreciate. Much of the material I’ve heard centers around weed and the culture surrounding marijuana which always will have a strong following but he certainly is not bound to this subject. He’s just finishing up his last year of college and looking to write comedy full time. Who isn’t?
